I’m back on Cape Cod after a terrific trip to Sanibel Island, Florida. Even Realtors need a break from the winter weather! Just before leaving I completed the classroom portion of NAR’s new Green designation and I’m very excited about completing this and working with home buyers, sellers and builders to make green choices. I drive a Prius, and have for 5 years, and try to “walk the talk,” so if sustainability is important to you, as well as reducing heating and cooling costs, let’s work together on your real estate transaction. What does this designation entail? In the United States alone,
buildings account for:
• 70% of electricity
• 39% of all energy use
• 39% of all (CO2) emissions
• 40% of raw materials use
• 30% of waste output
(136 million tons annually)
• 12% of potable water
- NAR Green Designation
